Union, SC— Babbitt’s Online/Monster Energy®/Kawasaki Team Green™ returned to Grand National Cross Country racing over the weekend after a three-week hiatus at the Big Buck Farm in Union, South Carolina. After three hours of racing through the pines, both XC1 pilots, Josh Strang and Grant Baylor, as well as the defending XC2 champion, Lyndon Snodgrass, would finish the event with top-ten results.

After rocketing his KX450X™ to his first holeshot of the year, Josh Strang would settle into the third-place position on the first lap of racing before slipping back into seventh place on lap 2. Following a midrace charge, the Australian native would claw his way back to within seconds of fifth place before eventually settling for sixth at the checkered flag. Fellow XC1 teammate Grant Baylor’s day started off much worse, coming across the line in the 11th place position before clawing his way through the pack to end the day in a wheel-to-wheel battle for the seventh place position, finishing just 0.3 of a second behind his competition.

The No. 1 and defending XC2 champion, Lyndon Snodgrass, would have a similar day to his big-bore teammates, coming through timing and scoring on lap one in sixth place before falling back on lap two to the ninth place position. Lyndon, however, battled his way back through the tightly contested field to finish the six-lap race in seventh place, taking valuable points in the process.

Team Babbitt’s/Monster Energy/Kawasaki will be returning to South Carolina in just two weeks time for the fifth round of the GNCC series in search of redemption.
