Arrington, Va. - Round four of the AMA National Enduro Series took place over the weekend in the Appalachian foothills of Virginia, where Babbitt’s/Monster Energy/Kawasaki rider Grant Baylor overcame adversity to take a fifth-place overall finish to retain his points lead in the NE Pro 1 class heading into round five of the series next month.

Coming into the weekend’s event, the KX450X™ pilot of Baylor had strung together a series of podium finishes at the NEPG series, which included two wins and a second-place finish, resulting in an early points cushion over his nearest rival. In the pines and rocks of Virginia, however, Grant would need the points cushion after succumbing to a slow start that he would not be able to overcome throughout the course of the day.

Rain the evening prior made for a slick start to the race, in which Baylor would struggle to find his rhythm, resulting in fifth and sixth-place times in the opening two sections. Grant would start to find his marks in the third test of the day, resulting in a third-place finish, before having his most trying test of the day in section five. The Kawasaki rider would, nevertheless, turn things around and take the win in the final section of the day, giving him and the team something to look forward to going into the next round in one month's time.

The next round of the NEPG series will take place on June 11th in the state of Georgia for the annual Cherokee Enduro, where Grant Baylor will look to regain his momentum and form from previous rounds.
