Washington, GA — Round Three of the GNCC series returned to Aonia Pass MX in Washington, Georgia, for what turned out to be the most challenging race of the year thus far. A near-perfect track on Saturday would lead to adverse conditions just 24 hours later, with early morning rain storms soaking the 12-mile red clay track on Sunday. No. 17 Babbitt’s Online/Monster Energy®/Kawasaki Team Green™ rider Josh Strang would overcome the challenging conditions, piloting his KX™450X en route to taking his first podium of the year with a second-place finish. Fellow XC1 teammate and Kawasaki newcomer, Grant Baylor, would race his way to a sixth-place position at The Checkered Flag. Defending XC2 champion, Lyndon Snodgrass, would also come across the line to complete the three-hour event in the sixth position.

Strang on his second-place overall finish: "Today was gnarly, with roots and stumps covered in water and mud. The surprise mud-holes would just swallow your bike, so I really had to be patient and try to read the track, as well as use my noggin! Happy to get a podium and build some confidence!".

After three rounds of GNCC racing, Grant Baylor sits in fifth place in the XC1 standings, with Josh Strang sitting in the seventh-place position. The defending XC2 champion, Lyndon Snodgrass, sits in third place in his class.
