Turkey, Texas. - Round Two of the AMA National Enduro Series was held over the weekend in the prairie-like terrain of Turkey, Texas, located in the northern part of the state. A small town of just over 300 people welcomed the reigning NE Pro 1 National Enduro Series Champion, Grant Baylor, to their small town to race on over 70 miles of classic Texas single track. After six tests of dusty and cold conditions, Grant would cross the scoring line in the last test in the second overall position, thus protecting his points lead.

"There was for sure a little bit of craziness out there today," said Baylor when asked about his second-place finish. "I kept trying to keep it tamed down, but in one test I caught some Pro 2 riders and ended up going straight when I was meant to go right, so I definitely lost some time there, among other places".

Grant on the Texas terrain "It was a lot of fun; there was a lot of variety in the terrain. Lot of fast stuff, where you are hanging off the back of the bike going as fast as it’ll go, and then it had some tight technical ravines that were fairly slow. It was a blast, such a good time.".

Grant will continue his fight for the 2023 NEPG Championship next at the inaugural Black Buffalo Enduro in Kingston, Arkansas, on the 23rd of April.
