Let the Fun Begin!

With a full restoration of a 1998 Kawasaki Mule 550 and Mike Andrews!
This machine had over 10,000 hours on it when Mike got it in August, and is now fully restored.

The engine and transmission were well maintained (probably rebuilt at least once before), but it was in rough shape and missing a lot of parts.

The floor of the cargo carrier looked like Swiss cheese, so I replaced it with shiny aluminum tread plate. You can also see the original, badly damaged hood in the background, which was replaced with a new one.


 

Restoration Continues...

I had the seat re-upholstered, changed the brake fluid, welded the roll bar, repaired the wiring, replaced all the fuel lines and after lots of cleaning and adjusting…..

  

My Big Helper

Here is my daughter Julia, pretending to drive it! She’s not quite tall enough to drive just yet, but she did help me install a lot of the new parts!
 
 

It's Ready for Another 20 Years of Service!

It runs and drives perfectly and we just finished putting all the stickers on today.
Based on that smile, I think Julia approves of the final product.

 

For fun, we put in references to 1998… Disney’s Animal Kingdom license plate (opened 1998), "Say hello to iMac” sticker (introduced 1998)
