As this is a requirement, all vehicles must have a flag and if not, you risk getting ticketed by patrolling park rangers.

ORV and trail stickers are crucial for you to enjoy the dunes! All vehicles are required to have an ORV and trail sticker placed on the rear of the vehicle and a recreation passport or non-resident sticker. No stickers = no fun!
